This month we participated in the first session of the EU funded Uganda Green Enterprise Finance Accelerator (UGEFA) programme, in the capital city of Kampala.
This 5-month course is the first of its kind in Uganda and aims to help more small and medium green businesses to enter the market. By assisting organisations in the development of their business and finance skills, it aims to increase the chances of these organisations being able to access the funding required to scale-up their models to have a greater environmental impact.
So far, the course has covered areas such as accountability, legality and investment.
During the week-long session, Dan, our Sales & Training Manager, took to the stage to showcase our Eco-Products and outline our impact against the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
And in true Eco Brixs style, we worked to keep tackling the plastic problem even between seminars - by collecting all the plastic water bottles used by the participants, so they could be recycled when we returned to our HQ in Masaka!
